19.7.1

07/01/2019

  • Fixed YouTube playback issues. <br />- Updated libraries. <br />## Developers<br /> - Music providers now make use of JS Pools. This should improve content loading performance at a small memory expense. A future update will limit the size of the JS pool on Xbox. See "New & Hot SoundCloud Tracks" and "Top 50 SoundCloud Tracks" as an example of a Music Provider making use of JS Pools.

18.5.5

06/30/2019

Beta Version 18.5.5 ## Issues * Spacing problems on Xbox One. * Now-Playing bar does some weird things when changing track. * Now-playing bar overlapping content at the bottom of a list. * Page padding is not consistent. * Playlist/User page have incorrect padding. ## New Navigation Design * A new in-preview navigation design has been implemented. The app now uses a horizontal navigation system instead of the previous hamburger system. * If you have any concerns or suggestions for the new UI, please send me a tweet at @dominicjmaas or @SoundByteUWP. ## New Now-Playing Bar Design * The now-playing bar has received a slight UI change. The bar now uses in-app Acrylic and "floats" above the content. You can also collapse the bar by clicking on the "<" icon. ## What's Next? * The next version will introduce "panes" for desktop users. Panes are sections of content that overlap the user interface (like Microsoft Edge settings). This will be used instead of navigating to the settings or about pages. * The remote system will receive an overhaul, allowing you to directly control content on another device (such as playing, skipping etc.). The new UI will be displayed in a Pane. * Continued Podcast and Local Device support. * SoundByte Accounts will receive a backed overhaul. If all goes perfectly, existing accounts won't need to be reconnected. * Settings and About pages will be split into two. ## Please Note * The Now-Playing page UI is not final. The header is likely to be collapsed or partially hidden. * Friendly crash reporting has been removed in order to generate accurate crash reports. The app will now crash and close. Crash report will be sent on app startup (and if your privacy settings allow it).
